			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last Tuesday, we had a great Master&#8217;s tea with <a href="http://www.cfr.org/bios/3348/bernard_gwertzman.html" title="gwertzman" target="_blank">Bernard Gwertzman,</a> consulting editor of <a href="http://www.cfr.org/" target="_blank">CFR.org</a> . He was one of the First Editors-in-Chief of NYTimes.com . He spoke to us about how the immediacy of the internet gave newspapers the opportunity to compete with television news for the ability to cover news quick enough to be relevant.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.cfr.org/">CFR.org</a> has sought to carve out a niche for itself providing commentary on news stories as they occur. They also provide a <a href="http://www.cfr.org/publication/editorial_archive.html" target="_blank">daily brief e-mail </a>newsletter which provides a summary of today&#8217;s top news stories world wide.</p>
<p>Mr. Gwertzman regularly conducts <a href="http://www.cfr.org/publication/14957/">interviews</a> with experts commenting on the top news stories of the day.</p>
